Oak Cliff United Methodist Church - 549 Each Jefferson. Founded in 1887, this is the first Church located in Oak Cliff. Oak Cliff United Methodist Church is considered to be a historical landmark for the city of Dallas. Our Texas State Historical marker was received on April 13, 2000 and has been placed prominently on the corner of Jefferson and Marsalis. The current building dates back to the beginning of the 1900's. It is of neoclassical design with four graceful columns supporting a peaked pediment. The stained glass windows are of the art nouveau period in beautiful shades of pale green and blue. The organ console has recently been replaced, but the magnificent organ still uses the original pipes as well as several new ranks of pipes. We invite you to visit our church and hear the beautiful pipe organ. The current pastor is Rev. Bettye Elledge.
